Let it Snow!

May the coming Winter months be filled with warmth and joy to everyone. Spread cheer and kindness to those around you. Spend time with those whom you love, and even more time with those who love you, because we’re never sure when we’ll run out of time with the near and dear. Be good and do good. Happy Holidays everyone!

T-shirt design | Jikan

I recently designed a t-shirt graphic for a friend of mine who is starting a clothing line. The theme of this is “Jikan,” which is Japanese for ‘time.’

It’s always helpful when a client is specific about what they want and can provide all the basic description. Here is a mock-up of my design.

Focal Length Posters

For my volunteer project at CSUEB, I designed an infographic poster to explain Focal Length. I am not a photographer, so there were some research and learning involved. It has been awhile since I used a DSLR camera, but I did manage to take some decent photos to demonstrate the different focal lengths using multiple camera lenses.

Rising: Juried Student Exhibition

I had the privilege to showcase one of my illustrations, titled Nocturnal Day, in the CSU East Bay art gallery for this year’s annual Juried Student Exhibition. The exhibition was juried by Zoë Taleporos, a curator and arts administrator based in San Francisco.

Here are some photos from the opening reception on May 18, 2017.

Thank you to the CSUEB Art Department, Zoë, and everyone in part of this event for allowing me to be a part of the exhibition. Congrats to all the other artists who also made it into the gallery. As always, the CSUEB art students do amazing artwork, and I’ve always enjoyed going to the gallery and see all their inspiring work.
